Text Box: Alexander (Sandy) Davis

Sandy Davis has been coaching senior business leaders full time for the past 14 years.  During that time span, he has developed a unique methodology for developing and sustaining personal resilience. Sandy has found that when his clients pay attention to this “atomic” or private aspect of their being, they become much more successful in the “molecular” or organizational aspects of their professional roles.  The more resilient they become; the more agile and effective they become as leaders.  They are able to increase their productivity, their level of success, and their personal fulfillment. Sandy has not only discovered what you can do to systematically increase your “resilience-readiness.”  He has also codified precisely how to do this.  Based on his successes in teaching others how to thrive in stressful times, he has authored and self-published a number of instructional manuals on this topic.  He has also facilitated a membership-based resilience-readiness program that has been ongoing now for over five years.  Through his speaking, writings, and teachings, he has become widely known as “The Resilience Guy.”

Sandy’s multifaceted career has spanned education, the arts, and business in roughly equal measure.  He has made his living variously as an airplane pilot, a cabinetmaker, a freelance photographer, a teacher working with dyslexic children, a musician, a software engineer, a technical instructor, a manager, a business executive, and a professional coach.  He brings this breadth of experience to his coaching and training. Before becoming a full-time leadership coach, Sandy spent 14 years successfully working inside several high-technology corporations, including nine years in director-level positions with global profit-and-loss responsibilities

Lisa Marshall is a nationally recognized authority on leadership maturity and the use of story in the workplace. Lisa brings an unusually eclectic approach to her work, combining interests in NLP, organization design, Speech Acts, strategic planning, neuroscience and chaos theory as well as her own original work in developing leadership maturity models.  She specializes in working with strong technical leaders, whether in high tech, finance or start-ups. Through her work, she focuses on getting organizations to be as smart about their people as they are about their business. To do that, she works in three primary areas: leadership coaching with a focus on leadership maturity, scenario planning to face an uncertain and non-linear future, and helping organizations and their leaders build compelling stories for that future. Previously, Lisa was with Syntax Communication Modeling Corporation for 17 years, beginning as Office Manager and eventually becoming the Sr. VP.  In that role, she both marketed and delivered communication and collaboration skills training to technical professionals.  Realizing that “training” the soft skills required a very different approach; she helped develop a variety of follow-on coaching programs, and eventually transitioned full-time to organizational development and leadership/executive coaching. Lisa has consulted for Intel, the InterAmerican Development Bank, Capital One, EDS, Hewlett Packard, NASA, Taiwan Semiconductor and the Dept. of Agriculture.
